Just when you thought it was safe to go back to watching documentaries, Terror Films Releasing has traded “Terror Tuesdays” for “Folklore Fridays.” Their newest collection of cryptid documentaries promises mysterious creatures, unsettling legends, and enough nightmare fuel to keep your imagination working overtime.

From legendary creatures whispered about for generations to modern-day sightings that continue to spark debate, these stories have a way of lingering long after the credits roll. Whether you're a longtime believer, a curious skeptic, or someone who simply enjoys a good folklore-fueled scare, there's something undeniably fascinating about tales that blur the line between myth and reality. These are the kinds of stories that spark curiosity, fuel nightmares, and keep viewers looking over their shoulders long after the screen goes dark. Terror Films Releasing recently sent over a press release and dropped it straight into my “impending doom” inbox. Here’s the scoops:

FROM THE TERROR FILMS RELEASING PRESS RELEASE:

Seth Breedlove, Courteney Breedlove, Heather Moser, Aleksander Petakov, and Aaron Deese of SMALL TOWN MONSTERS have partnered with Terror Films Releasing to unleash 20 of their folklore documentaries across digital platforms.

The partnership kicked off in June with the release of five documentaries, dropping one every Tuesday throughout the month as part of what the genre distributor dubbed “Terrifying Tuesdays.” The terror continues this July, only this time with a new Bigfoot documentary arriving every Friday as part of what TFR is calling FOLKLORE FRIDAYS: THE BIGFOOT ARCHIVES.

For many viewers, this marks the first opportunity to watch these documentaries across major streaming platforms, including Vudu, Amazon, Tubi, and more. Check out the trailers and promotional artwork below, courtesy of TFR and STM.
